The Ultimate Accesory

Louis Vuitton Cruise Campaign 2016

Heading towards the sunny season, the trends have taken a lot from the good old 90s. Almost all the girls are very exited about chokers, which remind childhood (please be aware of the length of your neck, they can drastically shorten it). The white sneakers, skinny jeans and a white cropped top have become the basic attire for most of our wardrobes (good luck with it when working in a serious company). Apart from clothes fitting better then back in the 90s, our handbag game has drastically stepped up. So, as the outfits are simple and casual lets have a look of the must haves in which we store most of our lives! The quality and above all the "quality of the style" of a handbag can really define the woman who is wearing it. If for men its the watch, for women its the handbag!

Fendi, Chanel Messenger, Prada, Lady Dior, Dolce&Gabbana

The past few seasons have been all about "cute" and "sweet" mini handbags, which are the much smaller versions of the best seller handbags in standard sizes. Maybe its a strategy of big brands to make more money as fashionistas thrive in having the "it" bag, but not many can actually afford a large full priced version, nevertheless it has become the trend and it is here to stay for a while! Fendi has even used layering of mini handbags, which is when you have the standard size bag and you add the mini version on top of it. This type of bag is mainly aimed at the younger girls from 20-30, who are all about fun and  games and don't actually need much, apart from their iphone and Kylie lipkit, inside of the bad.

Gucci, Dolce&Gabbana, Valentino, Fendi, YSL

A print or an embroidery on the handbag has also become very popular. The Dolce&Gabanna love for all bright and Italian has been translated by Gucci with a must have bag. Gucci has used its classic canvass GG pattern and matched it with a bright and rather interesting embroidery, referencing to different cities across the world.  The embroiled piece isn't the easiest to interpret into wardrobe, however if you get it right, it will provide that instant "pop" and add an interesting detail to the overall look. I love the way Valentino has interpreted the trend of embroidery, they have provided a series of delicate styles which aren't as aggressive but still work as great details. Fendi is so loud, it actually feels good and I have a feeling that it will be featured all over the fashion press, however there won't be that many who will actually apply it to their wardrobe.

BottegaVeneta Knot, Hermes Birkin, Celine Calfish, Louis Vuitton

Whatever the latest trend will be, we cannot avoid not having THE classic options, which are high quality leather, basic, block colours (actually better to have the full rainbow).  Think of this type of bag as investment piece? which can easily be passed on to your daughter (although I doubt that I'll want to part with it, it will be motivation for her to study and aim somewhere!). A timeless piece isn't just one (how can we) it includes clutches, day bags, cocktail and heavy duty. Its all those statement bags which are hunted out by the rich and famous.

Chanel Boy, Gucci, Versace, Louis Vuitton

Unsurprisingly I couldn't make up my mind upon which classic shoulder bag to feature, therefore I've decided to do a little appreciation to the style and post the absolute classics, which are all so stunning. These babies really do work from day to night, perhaps apart from LV shiny crocodile skin, as its a bit too bright for daylight (but nothing is stopping you to checking out the calmer versions on the website!).

Chanel Evening Bag, Judith Leiber Couture, Anya Hindmarch Crisp Packet, Charlotte Olympia A Girls Best Friend

Finally I would like to give a shout out to the petite, fun and sometimes even silly clutches. Not the most functional as you'll fit next to nothing in them, but they will add fun and provide an interesting detail to the outfit. Using those correctly is a true stylists ability as they have to integrate it into the outfit? without it becoming a random prop, like its seen in Miley Cyrus's attention grabbing choices. The easy option is the "model of duty" look with little Karlito hanging from a tiny cross body. Check out the popular model of the minute - Kendall Jenner for a super easy reference on how to dress a little cutie with an everyday outfit.

Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo Candy, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli

Although I am not a big fan of the bagpacks (perhaps linked to living in a big city and paranoia of being robbed), but I had no choice but to include this trend. No surprise as it is also a blast from the past of the 90s. There is also no surprise that there are a few option of the mini backpacks, which also scream cuteness and childish fun. Today's brand can return you to the style of whichever group you were in: whether its the skategirls (Versace), punks (Fendi) or cheerleaders (Chanel). If you want to be a bit more grown there is always the classy Prada to give you that 'mummy' aura. Consider these as a great hands-free option for travelling (be aware not to get your purse stolen in the airport) and for Sunday Fundays.

Fendi Pickaboo, Versace, Chanel, Prada, Dolce&Gabbana

It was incredibly hard to take a pic out of all the bags available at the moment, therefore do click on the links below the photos to see what else the designers have to offer!

Very important part is that if you cannot afford a bag over $1K, then please, I beg you not to get a prototype version from China. These bags are special due to the highest quality of materials, design and work which has been put into them. Also the fakes are very easy to spot, especially for those who own the real deal. Save yourself the embarrassment and purchase a good quality handbag from a no-name brand, which will use leather and will do the proper stitching and try to keep close to the shape and style, rather than the design. There are plenty of versions offered by ASOS or Zara, which do a good job of outlining the trend (might as well get a Michael Kors, as there are also plenty of copies in the brand).

P.S. Thanks for being patient and for your messages requesting new posts! xoxo

Gown Parade (Fashion Week Review)

The Social Season has most definitely began and the closer it gets to the end of the year, the more festive our outfits become. I have browsed through new collections of SS16 on the catwalks of NY, London, Milan and a bit of Paris and made a very hard choice of picking the best of the best.

Just like we've been indulging in shoes, lets indulge in beautiful gowns which are without a doubt a work of art. I am placing my bets on seeing these particular choices on the red carpet and worn by the most renowned IT girls in town. Also I will play a little game of matching celebrities to the dresses.

The Black
Ermanno Scervino, Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo Marchesa

Its hard to imagine Fashionistas' wardrobe without black in it, especially when it comes to dresses. It's the easiest way to dress for something which you not sure how to, you simply can't go wrong (unless it's an all white party.... then your just making some sort of statement!). Black is comfortable, sexy and suits just about everyone.
The Ermanno Scervino has the shape and length of a good girl dress, however the leather and the cut-out details are making it perfect for a bad girl like Naomi Campbell to totally own it. How about Natasha Poly with a simple ponytail and minimal make up, which will look just as fierce in this leather number.
The Versace reflects the current wave of celebrities wearing brave and bare outfits. Therefore a good body and strong character is a must, which is why it will totally work for J.Lo or a petite Kate Hudson.
The Salvatore Ferragamo reminds me of a vibe back in 2010 where feathers on shoulders were popular. By using fur, the outfit doesn't look as aggressive, but contra-wise expensive and classy.  The raised shoulders and low V neck are very flattering, which means that it can work for both skinny and full bodied women. My celebrity pick for this is Megan Fox or Selena Gomez.
The Marchesa gown is a lacy heaven with a very obvious idea of underwear, matched with a very romantic, flowing skirt. We have seen this type of a dress on a red carpet quite a lot in the past season and the list of Divas to wear this is endless. It is very easy to look too sexy in this dress, therefore I would like to see a slender blonde like Hayden Panettiere. Someone like Amber Heard would actually look too sexy (need a more innocent face).

The Sheath
Ermanno Scervino, Moschino, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood

The shape of this dress is very popular with First Ladies, close to the body and just below the knee, the classic version always comes in cool matte colours, nothing aggressive or oversexualized. Nevertheless we are talking events and bright lights, therefore we need to push the boundaries. I am totally in love with the Ermanno Scervino silk, pink, very Barbie but very feminine, fresh and classy dress. Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Natalie Portman really should give it a try.
Jeremy Scott has always been great at interpreting fashion into fun, modern and provocative perspectives. Therefore this sky blue latex dress with an oversized bow is for brave ones only. The bestie of the brand Katy Perry will be perfect in this, especially when considering her beautiful curves.
Balmain collection was exquisite. This dress shows how quality can be defined in simplicity and details take it to the point where a simple dress becomes suggestive but elegant at the same time. The fabric will hold all the curves in the right places and show them off to the full potential, nevertheless if the body isn't in the perfect shape it will totally give you away. Without a doubt this is a J.Lo number.
Vivienne Westwood has also presented her take on a sheath dress, however a more comfortable and a classic version. As this is so simple and classy it will work well for Jolie (however the big shoulder pads might get her lost in the dress), however a more full bodied Scarlett Johansson will pull this off tot he full potential.

The Mini
Dsquared2, Balmain, Versace, Cavalli

Mini dresses are the ultimate option for those who are blessed with long and slender pins, they are also very youthful and fun. Mini can also work well on a petite frame like Adriana Grande (as long as the proportions are right). The Dsquared2 follows the rules "if you bear one part, cover the other" which means that someone older can totally pull it off, would I dare mention Charlzie Theron. Nevertheless, the bright prints makes this mini fully accessible to youthful girls as well, perhaps try it out in autumn season with a long coat over the shoulders.
The Balmain mini is so delicious, I want to eat it, therefore I would love to see it one someone just as yummy, I'm thinking Beyonce or Kylie Jenner. The suede looks just as soft as the curves should be and the colour would match the caramel tones of the skin. Note the cross-laced detail on the cut out, it will appear quite often in the upcoming season.
Verscae is loud, bright and fun, perfect for an after-party and on someone just as loud and fun, like Gigi Haidi who wore it straight away after the show. I can even see Emma Watson wearing this with a messy up do and simple make up (of course with a perfect Chanel lip colour to match).
The Cavalli is the perfect black mini, its sassy, alluring and I totally need to see Rihanna wearing this little number in her brave effortless way or how about Heidi Klum matching it with ankle boots.

The Oscar
Givenchy, Julien Macdonalnd, Badgley Mischka, Givenchy

Big, extravagant and outstanding is the basic criteria for major glamour events such as the Oscars, and these dresses definitely match the criteria.
Its black, its organza with velvet, its matched with a high-knee velvet boots.... its Givenchy and its a stunner, which reminds me of the "Jolie leg" episode and I wonder who will end up wearing it as it will suit a majority of A-listers, I'm thinking Beyonce,Salma Hayek, Halle Berry...
The Julien Macdonald gown/playsuit has the ideal combination of fashion-edgy and red carpet glamour, a bit like Emma Stone in Lanvin at the Golden Globes. This dress is majestic and it requires tall, slim physique and should be on Sienna Miller or Kira Knightley.
What Osacrs will there be if we don't note the actresses who have set the high bar for talent and quality acting . Badgley Mischka provided something from the runway which can be easily worn by Meryl Streep or Julianne Moore. The full bodied classic ball skirt and a hint of a bling on the top, provide a beautiful balance for the look fit for a movie icon.
Finally the cream tussled Givenchy gown is all about old school glamour blended with smart couture. Fully covered but it accentuates and lengthens the silhouette. Once more I would like to see someone with classical beauty and preferably with dark  hair like Angelina Jolie or Kira Knightley (blonde, might start to look like Lasie in this).

The Cool
Victoria Beckham, Oscar de la Renta, Emperio Armani, Chalayan

These types are for those who are not into glitzy glamour but prefer a simple, clean look instead. The key for that look is good quality material, tailoring and unusual detail which makes a simple outfit into an interesting one.
Victoria Beckham is a great definition of the Cool glamour and her designs reflect how to be comfortable, effortless but nevertheless beautiful. The very low V neck, a burst of bright colour on the strap and the chequered insertion at the side add all the needed accents to make this dress stand out and worth an outing to an event. I'm thinking Olivia Wilde due to her slender but tall frame and unusual beauty would look literally perfect.
Oscar de la Renta is a timeless designer who is always producing very feminine, light and romantic clothing. The red is bright enough to stand out and the lace is delicate enough to balance the aggressive colour. The frills and the summery design, reminds me of Sicily which is why I would love to see Monica Bellucci at daytime event or Blake Lively for an effortless evening look.
The Armani and the Chalayan have similar idea to the Victoria's design as the oose with contemporary and coolness in their designs. I think Solonge Knowles would totally rock the orange Armani and it would be an interesting style experiment for Eva Mendes.

The Classic
Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren, Zac Posen, Marchesa
Clasic is timeless, its slick and somewhat simple. Note that all dresses use one main block colour, clean outline of the shape and fitted silhouette. I could have picked something super simple....but that would actually be boring. I love that each dress has added its own spice to the classic recipe of the red carpet gown.
White Herrera gown has very modern design due to the gaps between the fabric, however the very simple outline of the dress keeps it looking fresh, youthful and clean, which would look stunning on Blake Livley or Kate Hudosn, .
The youthful Ralph Lauren is so simple and at the same time so perfect that it would look extra cool on Rihnna, as for this dress a great body and a good smile will make the perfect package of comfortable and simple way to the best dressed list.
Zac Posen has taken a clasic shape and used super sexy silk which would look stunning on Irina Shayk (what wouldn't in all fairness) who would make this gown from the rich girl at a boring function, to a head turner. Go for those cat eyes and red lips with a tight bun and it will make the massive difference.
Marchesa looks like a very predicable and classic gown, however it has the edgy details which make it very interesting and would suit the style phase which Lady Gaga has at the moment.

The Glitz
Balmain, Temperley London, Gucci, Rachel Zoe

All that Glitz and Glamour hasn't left Hollywood for a very long time, however the idea of Diva has developed into a much classier feel (even though its still covered in sparkles).
Oliver Rousteing has created a collection which we will be worn by a vast majority of celebs, the sequinned, see through skirt is allready a total must have. Balmain has reached its flamboyant glamour peak and will have a massive influence on the rest of the industry. Please get this dress on Jennifer Lopez because what not J.Lo about this dress!
Temperley London reminds me of 20s glamour, I love how the sequence pattern varies around the waist and chest to create an optic illusion which flatters the spacious dress. I cant help but to wish for Christina Aguliera and Amber Heard to bring all that classic American beauty to match the shine of the dress. By the way! How cute will Marion Cotillard be in this dress, with all that French romance! Gucci's gown feels very vintage, it is full of detail but very modest at the same time. This is a perfect Kira Knightley dress, and I refuse to give it to anyone else as I still want to see the rest of the happy ending with Mr.Darcy.
I am very happy to include my favourite stylist, Rachel Zoe, who is the queen of boho style. Even with multicoloured stripes loaded with sparkles this is a very chick dress. the fully open back brings what can be a simple sparky dress to a couture gown, note how beautiful and sensual the actual cut is, and with everything else totally covered it is not too sensual and simply perfect! Naturally I would like someone like Beyonce to push the boundaries of that balance. This is a very youthful dress and will actually suit a vast variety of women, ranging from Jennifer Lawrence to Selena Gomez.

Phew, thanks for bearing with me on the long post, with each day/hour of the fashion week I've had to add more and more pieces and it was very tough to stop whilst the catwalks continued. Do not threat I will write about what you, my lovleys will need to know about!!

The Tropical Breeze Of The Fashion Weeks

Vogue Japan April 2013
When travelling to new places it is always exiting to look around, learn about the culture and adapt it to your wardrobe. My placement in Latin America is allowing me to look at fashion from the perspective of hot weather and even hotter blood and temper. The excitement of the current Fashion Weeks got me making a list of what is needed in this hot part of the country.

The air:
Burberry, 2 x Proenza Schouler, Marc Jacobs (all S/S 2016)
Obviously..... there must be categories which take us from day to night. Considering the tropical climate, I will start with the blatant option of daytime "gone to have breakfast with the sea view". The practical details of white reflecting the sun and the natural, loose material providing enough air and lightness to wonder around without overheating. Note the contentious use of the 'shirt-dress' trend, which has been a favourite for a few seasons now. I adore the cut-out and puff ball details which Porenza Schouler has added to their designs and of course the unusual cut of the classical item. Go ahead with flats with hair swept back for that fresh relaxed look. Burberry has provided a contrasted look for their catwalk of mixing between romance and grunge. Use chunky biker boots to flaunt around London, however loose the coat and put on pumps if your down in the tropics. Keep your beach waves natural and rock the fresh skin look with confidence, the dress with its' delicate details and slimming shapes will do all the work for you. Why not turn up for your 'Ladies Lunch' in Marc Jacobs outfit which also contrasts the strictness of the suited look with the playfulness of  ruffles, ribbons and see through blouse.

The Suit:
DVF, Gucci, Rodarte, Marc Jacobs (all S/S 2016)
The Spring 2016 collections have been providing a lot of options in suits, so I just couldn't go past without adding them to the must haves. Whether for work or for a function, these are easy to wear, comfortable options. The high waisted (more pleated rather than tailored) trousers will elongate your legs to model standard (fierce heals are a must), the waist is already accentuated with the pant line, which means taht the top can be picked to your shapes and sizes. Those of us who are not blessed with C-cup and beyond can easily wear deep cuts like Rodarte  design (just think of the way Carla Delevinge rocks her suits). Those with major curves will look fantastic in DVF, who always provides options to outline the best and hide the not so.... On the much brighter side I am totally in love with the coral- cream match in Gucci. The fun prints and juicy colours from Marc wake up the happy go lucky moode and all your duties can be done with a smile. Swap heals for converse or fresh white kicks to relax the look to a more casual, super comfortable state.

The Job:
DVF, 2 x Fendi, Marc Jacobs (all S/S 2016)
On the serious note..... we must work, nevertheless, we can be fabulous whilst we are at it! My apologies for lawyers and bank employees who don't get much freedom. However for the rest of office bees that won't be a problem, there are plenty of yummy outfits. In 30 degree heat the DVF number is a total winner, the outfit is perfectly balanced to look classy, grown and in tact. Warning, those with long legs opt out for flats, those with short keep the heals neutral like the classic Pigale (but I can't help it without adding the sassy J-String Louboutins which will be perfect with this). I was totally smitten by Fendi's collection,  that I'm showing the dress in both colours, as it has the perfect mix of tailoring and shape play. Note the backless details which will be an obvious hit of the season! Something which without a doubt appear on Moscow's it girls is the Marc Jacobs outfit, very girlie, very trendy and very autumn cosy. I will loose the cardie and put on thin starp sandals to adjust it to the warmer part of the world (p.s. Go Ira for the fab catwalk!).

The outing:
Proenza Schouler, Fendi, DVF, Burberry (all S/S 2016)
As the sun sets, we have exhibition openings, cocktail parties and hot dates. Porenza has taken a shape of a Spanish dancer and made it so slick and modern that it can easily be worn for an evening event. Keep the accessories and make up very simple to keep this outfit classy. Yes... I know it's Fendi again, but this one is in different colour....and strapless! I want them all! Pull up a bun and add something like Rita Ora's Originals, get that perfect shade from MAC and you are totally cool and trendy. Make the bun loose, put on strapies, add glowing cheeks and you'll have the sweet as honey Jessica Alba styling. The DVF would be perfect for the cocktails in the tropics with its rich colours and the off the shoulder, body skimming material. The lace dresses have been a massive hit on the red carpet. The MET gala alone embodied our biggest divas in lacy outfits. Burberry has done it the typical British fashion by making something very feminine, something fairly casual and easy to wear. Look for a  body or a underwear set to keep the outfit classy, but add heals and perhaps the current on trend wine lips to take this for a cocktail.

The Flirt:
DVF,3 x Burberry (all S/S 2016)
These are what I would define as the girlie-girl dresses. When you are in that romantic, sweet and flirty mode. All must be short, preferably with pumps for that trip for an ice cream to the park.  A swap to sweet sandals like Jimmy Choo's Lance or the frilly Lilyth will upgrade to the sweetheart date. I adore the use of pastel colour and lace from Burberry, perfect for the sun kissed skin in the tropics, or rosy cheeks in EU. DVF is borderline of fierce, which actually gives the dress great balance and can work with whichever mode you are going for. In fact I can even see certain someone dancing alone to Crazy in Love after a few Cosmos!

Fashion weeks of NY and London have been very exiting and I am overwhelmed with the need to write about everything! However, I will try to keep calm and carry on by having some sort of structure. Therefore watch out for the hot accessories of the S/S 2016 and the ultimate red carpet gowns in the upcoming blogs!

As usual all the links are live and are ready to take you to the magical work of each Fashion House.

P.S. Yes, half way through writing this I saw Versace's show in Milan, and I need that collection over here in Latin part of the world!!!!!!

Transatlantic Travel Kit

Louis Vuitton "Travel Spirit" Campaign

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”

We are very lucky to be in the age where traveling is easily available. Whether for work or for fun we move around our planet with the exiting adventures ahead. However quite a few, forget the important part of how to look after oneself whilst in process of traveling. There is common knowledge about not drinking alcohol on a plane and wearing something comfy. I will share my experience on how to face the new adventures with a fresh looking and happy face!

The contents of my travel bag

My trip was estimated at 24 hours, 3 planes and 4hour car drive, knowing this I've approached the allowed liquids on board to the max. As the general basics wet wipes are a must, try to get the ones which will suit your skin the best. For example Olay has great wipes if you have a few wrinkles. I prefer to use the ones which have cucumber or aloe extracts as my skin gets breakouts from the aircon in the plane and lack of sleep and too much stress. Great wipes which have both are Josie Maran Bear Naked wipes.
Josie Maran Bear Naked Wipes, Olay Total Effects Facial Cloths

My next step would be use a moisturizing face mask, for the practicality I chose cloth masks, they might be scaring the other passengers but the cloth creates warm and humid climate which will help your skin to suck up all those amazing vitamins and products. For this trip I've tried the most basic face mask which I've found in the local chemist. Surprisingly the results were amazing. Not only was my face properly hydrated, it also got a healthy color and reduced any imperfections which were coming my way. If you have someone scrumptious picking you up from the plane, or an event to go to, why not pamper yourself with La Mer facial mask! If you have sensitive skin I would recommend the Dr.Jart+ Brightening Infusion, which does what it says on the packet safely. Another tip is to read the directions and pick a mask which you are allowed to leave in and avoid trying to wash your face in the tiny sinks.
Aloe Essence Mask, Chrissy Teigen showing us how its done, la Mer Hydrating Facial Mask, Dr.Jart+ Brightening Infusion

I am a big fan of Allure Beauty Box as it provides an opportunity to try out great products and everything comes in a travel friendly size, quite a few items were found there! For the times when I need to have cover up I am using the Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream. It has silky texture (perhaps best to use a sponge to avoid lines) and a slight warm tint which looks beautiful due to the deep moisturizing. It is also SPF 25 which is great for the outdoors. On the note of tinted creams, I would have to take a side note and recommend MAC C Cream with SPF30 which has a radiance booster after which skin is illuminated, great way to forget foundation if your in a hot country.
In the samples category I will also mention those cute little tubes of perfume. As its summer I take with me Creed Love in White and Dior Addict. Those babies give you a chance to have your 100ml bottle in the suitcase and still have a lovely scent during travel.

Clarins BB Perfecting Cream, MAC C Cream with Radiance Booster, Creed Samples

Another great find in the Beauty Box was Matrix Exquisite Oil which not only smells yummy, but  has great protection for your hair, apply before landing to smooth out signs of uncomfortable napping. Do not threat it has a very light formula which means that your hair wont become greasy.
If you are prone to greasy hair, you really should take with you Percy & Reed Dry Shampoo in travel size. It's a great buy because unlike the majority shampoos in the market it doesn't make your roots white! Nevertheless be prepared that some airports won't allow you to take it with you.
I have had am 11 hour flight, which meant that after the face mask, I was applying moisturizer at least a couple more times. I used a sample from Clinique- Even Better which really replenished and evened out my skin.
As for moisturizing hands Ive chosen Elemis Hand and Nail cream, obviously because hands are super long for a long time and above all because I am totally loving the Jasmine and Rose smell.

Matrix Exquisite Oil, Percy & Reed Dry Shampoo, Clinique- Even Better, Elemis Hand and Nail cream

There won't be much help from all the above products if you land with dry, red and bloodshot eyes. After working in the office in front of computer and after heading out to an event, I have discovered that having sparkling eyes, completely changes how you look. The same theory is for your travel. I use Innoxa Gouttes Bleus (simply known as French Blue Eye Drops). They are based on cornflower and one of the very few 'safe' to use eye drops, especially as you can use them as often as every half an hour. Their funky blue liquid instantly brightens your eyes and disguises the signs of your tiering trip.
If I feel like my skin is drying up, but don't want to overdo with the moisturizer I use Organic Pharmacy Facial Spritz, it tones and refreshes your skin with a light rose scent, which in my eyes wins over standard aqua mist options.
Being totally fussy I double up on health and safety by using anti-bacterial hand gel. I am loving the Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar hand gel, it does the job without the eye watering smell of the Ethanol.

Innoxa Gouttes Bleus, Organic Pharmacy Facial Spritz and Tonic, Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar hand gel
For lip care I really like the yellow Maybelline Baby Lips Intense Care balm, somehow I use these up quite often. They moisturize, and give a glossy shine and come in bright colors which make them easy to find in your bag.
For the actual gloss I use Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Prefector in shade 01 as its grate for softening the lips as well as giving them that plump look. Most of the women I know have this gloss, which is quite rare with the vast amount of choices out there. So go ahead and try out out! I'm sure that you will join our cult!
Finally to add a bit of color I have fell in love with my latest discovery the Dior Cheek & Lip Glow. For the lips you will have a deep shine for the first 10 minutes, after which its tingly formula blends into your lips and gives you a strawberry tint which last for a very long time. It will also work as a great base for your lipstick as it seals the lips. For the cheeks, get some practice and preferably apply it on a skin without foundation as it washes it out. If you must have some cover, it works best with BB creams as the moisture in them allows it to evenly blend. The result is very healthy and fresh looking cheeks!

Maybelline Baby Lips Intense Care, Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Prefector, Dior Cheek & Lip Glow
Do not threat by the amount of products, they all fit in my 10 x15 makeup bag, they are all very compact and come under allowance of the in-flight liquids. They might make your handbag heavier but they give you something to do on the long trip and of course leave you looking fabulous.

As usual all the link are live and allow you to browse online to discover these products in further detail!

That Summer Shoe

We all have easily given in to the seduction of wearing comfy trainers and slip-ons this season. However I have been catching myself on pairing an outfit with bright colored sandals, before thinking of how much walking is ahead of me and changing my mind back to flats.

Therefore for those times when its a fun filled day, date or some summery rooftop cocktail party I have decided to tempt you with the irrepressible heals of the hottest season (There might not be much of summer left.... but why not go on a holiday)!

The Bright

Brian Atwood Sonya, Jimmy Choo Lance, Louboutin Hot Chick and Pensamoi

When you think of summer your probably imagining the above colors and just think how stunning those juicy shades will look with our mid summer tans! The Brian Atwood Sonya  with its contrasted pattern will be perfect for a gallery visit and easily matched with ripped boyfriend jeans or as a pop of color with the little black dress.
Jimmy Choo's Lance sandal has become a classic on the red carpet as it's thin straps do all the right things to make our legs look longer and thinner. This less aggressive raspberry color will be a super sweet number matched with a girly summery dress for a lunch with the girls or an ice cream in the park. The Christian Louboutin Hot Chick is more infamous in it's mint color which was overused in the spring season. Therefore this bright yellow shade will give you an ultimate lift above the crowd (literally, have you tried walking in those) in the club scene, whether your your rocking a casual baggy jean or an all out there look they will do their job! Finally the celebrity favorite Pensamoi Louboutins (also fabulous in black), those babies have a perfect balance between sweet and sexy, mature and youthful and my ultimate winner for the first date!

The Mules
Manolo Blahnik Breval, Sophia Webster Cherub Gold and Riko Orchid, Guiseppe Zanotti Brigitte
Mummy always taught me that the mules are the perfect summer shoes especially if you live in a hot city like Moscow (yes its hot in summer). I associate them as the flip flops of the high heeled shoes (partially as some actually make the same noise), and for the most important reason is that those are less likely to rub and give you blisters. Another moment to consider is that an open ankle, especially on a shoe with the right raise, looks especially sexy as your ankles and feet look smaller. I have chosen the super fun bright options to get away from the old fashioned stereotype of the mules. Unlike the above, those are trickier to match, try out cropped trousers in the style of Audrey Hepburn or A-line summer dress, perhaps think a bit of Samantha from Sex and the City and do some color blocking or all in one with a fitted dress. Skinny jeans will work only if they are short and come up way above the ankle, if they are long, then welcome to the cheap zone.

The Super Steady

Sophia Webster Amanda Gem, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Fendi
Wedding, Golf Club, Regatta.... bring it on, grass and decking will not scare us! I have never been a massive fan of the fat heal, mainly due to the fear or my feet looking chunky. However, having grown up and done my research through a vast amount of shopping I have realised that these babies are life lifesavers! The Sopia Webster would look super cute with a girly girl outfit and if you don't have super long legs, opt for a super short skirt! How about going for a fabulous cruise look with the McQueens with a long beige dress out of natural materials and in a style of a wrap or a shirt (if the colors match then this Dolce dress will be super cute). I adore those Gucci sandals, they combine comfort and class, great with an office dress or something plain and cool. The Fendi's are super cute and full of detail, the contrast between chunky heal and thin straps is adorable. I would love to find a dress in that sky blue to match the heal! Overall I wouldn't recommend those types of shoes if you have big ankles or your legs aren't toned, in fact it could be a disaster, if you must stick to thin straps and platforms which aren't as chunky as Sophia Webster option.

The Black

Guiesppe Zanotti Beverly and  Carine, Christian Louboutin Casanovella, Gucci Maxime
Yes... I know... I couldn't help it.... even in summer I cannot resist black, The ultimate 'matches everything, looks cool and sexy', beloved black. The Beverly Zannoti's will be the type of shoe that will be used a lot, its slick and simple and will go with day as well as nigh time options. I really like the way Chrissy Teigen casually wears those, consider her style to work your mules to the max. The Carine are for the ultimate bling lovers, did I mention that they are also available in satin red and grey? Wear them with plain colors and elegant lines, avoid shiny dresses and a heap of accessories, just let the shoes do the talking!  The Louboutin sandals move us closer to the upcoming trends with fringe, perfect to enharnce your strut and dance moves. Gucci mules are the most covered option, the crustal horsebit detail and open toe brings some fun to the classic model, therefore why not mix and match with some shorts, baggy black tshirt and a wide rim hat!?

There are so many beautiful options out there that it was very hard to pick the examples. I will let you, my fellow shoe lovers to browse through the collection as always all links on my blog are live and bring your to the right sources.... and did I mention that its SALE time on majority of the brands?!

P.S. Brian Artwood's web site annoyed me with its format, therefore I will share the imagine that brings the warm memories of Carrie and the fluffy shoes season! It's the 2013 collection, but there will be no age negatives when it comes to shoes on my blog!

British Beauty Bar- celebrating British Brands in Moscow

Take a deep breath and imagine seventeen truly British brands showcasing their talents next to each other, and all under one roof...  Nope it’s not a department store, Not a fun faire... it’s British Beauty Bar! This event has developed from successful British Lifestyle events which allow Russian VIPs to discover high quality brands. Lifestyle event was so popular that the Luxury team from UK Trade and Investment had to divide it’s theme between beauty and style.

This unique experience which was held in a beautiful mansion of the Russian sugar baron and now a home for British Ambassador, right on the river side facing the heart of Moscow, the Kremlin! The old fashioned glamour provides a perfect setting for you to enjoy and discover high quality British brands.

All of us with hair and makeup done by brands of British Beauty Bar

My first dilemma was based on deciding whether to get my hair styled at the catwalk cool Toni&Guy or at more natural but still chic Percy & Reed, and I am very glad to say that alongside beautiful hair style I discovered a totally brilliant dry shampoo which is based from blueberries and doesn’t make your roots white! Another discovery was ENVY, oh I do love it when brands have confidence, and those guys definitely do as they specialise in revitalising your hair without strange masks and scissors. Who would of thought that grapefruit smelling mousse (DUAL FIX12) treats your hair from the roots to the tips and rescues split ends and adds that healthy shine.

Before making another decision for my makeup I decided to take a break and receive a wonderful hand massage from LUSH girls with an oil balm! I loved the idea of the oily substance being formed as a bar of soap which means no oils stains on your bathroom shelves. Another addition to the shopping list is a lip scrub which contains natural oils which not only take care of your lips, they make them bigger, and finally a fresh face mask out of blueberries..... need I say more! There is definitely something special in organi skinials and knowing exactly what is used on your skin, therefore for a yummy smelling bath bombs, shampoos and body lotions pop into your local store and ask the girls what is best for your skin.

On the subject of pampering I cannot go by without mentioning Aromatherapy Associates who specialise in fantastic massage oils which differ from the mass market by unique blend of aromas that influence your mood. Try out the Perfect Partners set for your bathroom, where you will find a Revive and Relax set. Now I am either too lazy for aromatherapy or I have too many treatments in other forms (some mentioned in previous blog), this is why I would reccomend to find a spa treatment with Aromatherapy and lets the professionals take care of you!

On one corner there was Rouge Bunny, the very hip and bold brand with amazing colours of lipsticks and photo-ready foundations. The other corner was held by Becca which promotes natural beauty and working with highlighting your benefits instead of hiding your negatives. Elina Sarkeeva who has experience as makeup artist for The Wedding has done a miracle of applying evening make up without giving me a cake-face. Foundation was light and all the needed low lights were done with a big soft brush and creamy base. Loved the satin feel of the lipgloss/lipstick, however it didn’t survive the yummy cocktails from Mamont.

There was also a great adventure for your sense of smell as both floors of the mansion were infused with exquisite perfumes including fresh spring tones from Mark Buxton, my favourite tasty Atkinsons, the classy Miller Harris and one of my favourites Creed. I would like to note that my favourite fragrances Atkinsons 24 Bond Street and Creed Silver Mountain Water are unisex and they may smell strong at the start, but then they open up and turn sweet and musky.

British Beauty Bar also remembered about skin care and included my beloved Medik8 who brought a machine which detects your skin kind and from that you can understand which products are best for you. I have also discovered Elemis which I would recommend for mature skin.

Men were definitely entertained in a manly way! Gentlemen's Tonic provided a pampering experience to test out the classic products, whilst on a different floor there was Truefitt & Hill were Moscow's gentlemen were treated to a classic British barber shave! I would also like to point out that Truefitt & Hill have a great cologne collection including Sandalwood, which definitely makes my knees buckle when worn by a man.

Overall this was a great event as it gave the opportunity to get introduced to new brands and best of all try them out and be ready for the evening part of music, cake and cocktails! Big thanks for the wonderful organisation from UKTI Luxury Fashion Team and all the brands for participation, as well as sponsors of the event Love2Beauty and RBCC
